The Batman is a dark, gritty film about Bruce Wayne (played by Ben Affleck) after the death of his parents. The movie features an updated version of Gotham City that’s missing some traditional elements like humour and hope.
The “batman robert pattinson” is a movie that was released in 2008 and stars Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves. The movie is about Batman’s vengeful side and the two directors talk about how it defined their own take on the character.
In The Batman, filmmaker Matt Reeves’ reinvention depicting a Dark Knight in year two of his crime-fighting career, Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne is a “reckless rockstar” and a “strange creature.” At DC FanDome 2021, Reeves joined Pattinson and Catwoman actress Zoe Kravitz virtually to reveal behind-the-scenes information and a new trailer for The Batman, which follows an enraged Bruce Wayne on a crusade for vengeance in a crime-ridden Gotham City terrorized by a mysterious serial killer: the Riddler (Paul Dano). The creative team revealed why The Batman is “radical” in comparison to previous works, why this noir narrative isn’t another origin story, and what to anticipate when Batman exacts his revenge.
In a behind-the-scenes documentary about the development of The Batman, Pattinson remarked, “For some reason, Batman has always struck out as one of the key figures of the twentieth century.” “So many individuals were linked on such a deep level for a variety of reasons. I felt there was something drastically different about the Batman movies from the first chat I had with Matt about it.”
The Batman will “refer to his beginnings and jolt him to his core,” said the director of Cloverfield and War for the Planet of the Apes, who also directed War for the Planet of the Apes. “We’re going to be able to discover something fresh with this man and accomplish something very remarkable,” Reeves said of Pattinson.
Pattinson was chosen for the role of Batman by Reeves because he was “always that version of what I saw on the page, and it was about trying to build a fresh version of Bruce.”
Pattinson added, “When we meet this shadow-eyed Bruce in the second year of his one-man war on crime, “It has a desperation to it right from the start. He’s working off his wrath in a big way. All of the arguments seem to be highly personal. He wants to exact his own brand of justice. He’s just doing it because he feels obligated to. There isn’t any other choice.”
This vengeance-fueled younger Batman is still maturing as Gotham’s self-appointed defender, after various generations of Batman portrayed by Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy and Ben Affleck in Zack Snyder’s DC Extended Universe.
“He doesn’t have as much control over his personality,” Pattinson said, “like the separation between when he’s Batman and when he’s Bruce isn’t as obvious, and other sorts of incarnations of it where he really understands what he’s doing when he’s putting on the cowl.” “And I really enjoy the concept of things being a little out of control. He hasn’t yet nailed down what Batman is. I mean, he gets lost in it every night when he watches [Batman]. He’s not sleeping, and he’s turning into a strange thing.”
The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Oswald ‘Oz’ Cobblepot, and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon.
